I am a mother, wife, and environmental educator. My involvements include volunteering for animal shelters, working as a CASA (court appointed special advocate) for a foster child, and teaching children about animals and nature. I have created three children's books to raise money for children and animal advocacy groups. The latest, A New Job for Pearl, is raising money to sponsor the training of a search dog through the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation http://www.searchdogfoundation.org.
